Formal fund-raising is undertaken through the African Raptor Trust, linking effort between governments, the formal conservation sector, corporate and private specialists. No donor participation is too big or too small on the path to avert species extinction as our Bearded Vultures are “Bred 4 the Wild”.  Please consider joining us to make a difference! Donation details alongside.

TALK ABOUT IT

By sharing with others what we know about Bearded vultures we can often allay fears and superstitions that could surround the species.

Open communication between the agricultural and conservation sectors sheds light on environmental challenges in pursuit of practical solutions. Bearded vultures are a long-lived species and although pro-active in nature the effects of species supplementation will only be seen in decades to come, hence education of the future generations of custodians is vital.

The first Saturday in September is Vulture Awareness Day. It’s a day to celebrate our scavenging birds and share with others the ecological importance of nature’s ‘clean-up crew’.
